BACKGROUND: You, Sherlock Gnomes, have just been visited by Grimbold Wallolm who is the chief shoe maker in Gnome Land.

Grimbold had a visit to his shop the day before from one of King Gnome's guards, Smalling Snoppald. He had left one of his Guard Boots which had the front sole peeling off.

The strange thing was that last night his shop was broken into and only this boot was stolen.  The back wooden door was broken down by some heavy object. Nothing else was taken, not even the thousands of Gnome Crome (the money of Gnome Land) that still are in his safe which he failed to lock. His shop, however has been ransacked and there is a real mess.

No unusual fingerprints or other marks can be found in or around the shop.

You have found out that Smalling had only purchased the Guard Boots a couple of days ago from Grimbold's closest rival, Flamrod Bladdlegirt. Flamrod had received them just the day before from the Army Boot factory run by General Bootman. They were delivered by a young Gnome called Hooter Walloming.

Use the right hand frame to interview the key players and read any other relevant information and then , when you are sure you know who the person who took the boot is and the other details (and when you have collected all the password letters and put together the password*) go HERE.
